OCPS Major Tournament
When: May 18th at The University of Central Florida. Begins at 8am, ends sometime in the afternoon
Who: Invited players, 10 from each school
What: This is a chance for our players to compete against other schools! No elimination. Free to enter.
Where: University of Central Florida(exact building TBA)
Coaches Kiani Walker and Stephen Crookston will be in attendance to encourage and help your child. Although Board One Chess is not associated with the group running the tournament, we do have a good relationship and can intervene or help out should any issues arise(being late, needing to leave early, wrong result reported).
We highly recommend you bring a camping chair and something to do. Chess isn’t a spectator sport it can be a little boring for parents. Don’t hesitate to email boardonechess@gmail.com
